Open reeds
Open reeds are the most useful
and diverse calls to use. You can
mimic most animal sounds using
an open reed. These calls feature
my own tone board and they are
easy to blow. You will find
yourself blowing bird distress all
the way to a great deep sounding
jack rabbit. These calls range in
size from easy to cover in your
hand to a full size throaty sounding
call. I can make them out of the
wood of your choice, exotic or

Wood howlers are a thing of beauty
as well as a useful tool. Howlers are
a key call during the mating season
for coyotes. They are also a great
early morning turkey locater. All of
my howlers are thin walled and
hollowed out deep for maximum
sound quality. They come with my
custom tone board or a production
style board. With either you will be
able to howl, bark, yip and kiyi. Wood
howlers $40.00 to $50.00
depending on the wood you choose.

Wood selection
Growing up in the northwest I have been around some great woods my whole life. I like to
offer many native species of wood from the northwest. If you are looking for an exotic wood
chances are I will have it. I have a great wood supplier and the wood I get from them is always
#1 quality. If I do not have a wood you are looking for, contact me and I will most likely be able
to get it. Custom call making is all about building the call you are looking for.
Native woods- Quilted maple, maple burl, birds eye maple, spalted maple, ambrosia maple,
flame maple, vine maple, alder, spalted alder, ash, holly, old growth fir, oak, spalted oak, red
cedar, white cedar, pine, and myrtle, pacific yew wood, apple & plum.
Exotic woods- Amboyna burl, purple heart, red heart, bocote, blackwood, bloodwood,
cocobolo, figured cocobolo, osage, canarywood, claro walnut, figured olivewood, lignum vitae,
verawood, limba, babinga, zebrawood, lacewood, kingwood, ebony, mesquite, padouk,
rosewood, tulipwood & exotic burls.
